Community Health Fair Saturday


This coming Saturday afternoon, a free health and wellness fair will be held at the Randallstown Community Center. Representatives and specialists (including doctors and physician assistants) from Northwest Hospital will be hosting the fair, manning expo booths, offering free screenings, giving brief talks and answering questions. Plus, attendees will enjoy free refreshments, door prizes and a chance to win a raffle drawing.

Free screenings at the fair will include:

? Blood pressure ? For your overall health, it?s important that yours is in a normal range.
? Sports injuries ? Does your injury need medical attention?
? Falls risk assessment ? Do you have potential balance issues or other factors that increase your risk for falling?

The fair will have an open house format, but at designated times there will be speakers and demos:

? 1:30 p.m. ? ?Diabetes Management? by Bruce H. Sindler, M.D.
? 2:15 p.m. ? ?Cardiac Conditions? by Jonathan Dubin, M.D.
? 2:45 p.m. ? Healthy cooking demo
? 3:00 p.m. ? Exercise for Life: Basic 6 demo
? 3:20 p.m. ? Yoga demo

? SurgiCenter and the latest surgical technology
? and more!
